Although they are the natural focal point of the collection, it is not only the vehicles that have star status at the Panzermuseum East. The differences in uniforming and equipment of the soldiers from the Warsaw Pact countries can be seen in the museum. Here, for example, uniforming within the GDR's military branches as well as clothing and equipment from the Czechoslovak and Polish forces. In addition, we also aim to exhibit important, non-combat related military effects such as military stoves, radio communications, gas and mine detection procedures, ABC equipment and more. In addition, dramatic societal scenarios are described, such as civilian escape attempts from states that would not release them.
